  • During the Holiday Season, we like to tour around to several of the different resorts. They have all sorts of gingerbread houses and candy displays in the main buildings. We always end our tour at GF because it is the most elaborate (plus they have the tree that fills that 5 story space!) and at 2 o'clock the "Candy Cane Singers" would gather to sing Christmas Songs. They are not the entertainers that perform throughout the resort, rather they are all of the other CMs that get together for fun. They get everyone in the lobby to sing-a-long and if you are brave enough, they will let you sing a solo! It makes Christmas at WDW even more special.Submitted by J. Adam Lounsberry

  • Rent a water sprite from the Polynesian! You get a small, 2 person tiny speed boat for $20 per half hour (plenty of time) and you get to speed at your leisure through the seven seas lagoon! It really is a blast! Submitted by Kelly

  • When at MGM, At the backlot tour, ask the CM who is parking strollers to be in the show. You will have a fun time being in the demonstration.... I am not going to say more.. you will have to try it out to find out what happens to you Submitted by Renee

  • A charming witty British gal tells jokes and plays the piano in Epcot's "Rose and Crown Pub" in the UK section. Her name Pam brody.. absolutely delightful lady and should not be missed for anything in the world. The best idea is to go and hang around the pub for a while, visit with Pam, and then enjoy Epcot's nightly fireworks, "Illuminations, Reflections of Earth."Submitted by Patrick Thompson

  • One of my favorite things to do is getting up super early and having my morning coffee on my veranda of the Contemporary(MK view of COURSE)...before the MK opens...no newspaper, no TV, no radio, just pure Disney...nothing comes close! What a way to start a Disney Day! and it's a memory i bring home every year! Submitted by Kel

  • If you get annoyed with the crowds of the Magic Kingdom, or just need a break and some cooling off, you should try taking a mid-day monorail ride. go out of the park to your right, and take the resort monorail (remember to get your hand stamped), and ride it around once or twice. The air conditioning is a great break, and you can watch all the sights along the way. Submitted by Mike Tartaglia

  • If you have a park hopper pass and go from MGM to Epcot, you can get on the boat to the Boardwalk and then switch boats there to get to the World Showcase in Epcot. You also have the option to walk to Epcot from there. This is actually a really pleasant ride because you can see parts of the park that most people don't because they don't know that they can go that way. You can also walk around at the Boardwalk if you want because the boats run all day. Roxanne

  • A lot of guests overlook "Sid Cahuenga's One of a Kind" at the Studios. This store is at the Entrance to the park, across from "Oscar's," the stroller shop. Sid's has tons of autographed photos from Stars, and props used in the movies. You never know what you'll find in the store, and I've heard that Michael Jackson shops there whenever in the park. The side porch area also makes a wonderful spot to watch the parades (if leaving the park from the Sid's side of the street). Just for kicks, tell Rob, a Sid's CM, that you voted "Pooh for Mayor." • When at the WDW Resort be sure to take a day and spend some time at the Disney Institute. Many guests do not realize the fun activities that are in store for them at DI. Classes in animation, rock climbing, gardening, and more are offered for a reasonable price Submitted by Josh Lutz

  • Sunset Celebration at OKW is free and includes free Mickey mouse ears(or did when we were there) and kid's parade with ribbon sticks, hool a hoop and limbo contests, dance contests, and a live DJ with a bubble machine. Our kids also got certificates commemorating the event. Right now it is on Friday and Saturday nights. Submitted by Perkins

  • A great thing to do at night is the "E-Ride Nights". On my last trip in February we bought the $10 bracelets and practically had the park to ourselves. They only hold this night at the Magic Kingdom, on certain nights, and sell a limited amount of braclets. Call Ahead for dates and times. It is usually offered 5-10 times a month and the park is opened 4-5 hrs later than usual. Submitted by Dayna

  • I'm a local for WDW so when I go, if the line's too long, I would just skip it for the next trip. When doing this, I would look for other things to do. I started talking to a cast member at the HM and he told me the whole story behind the ride. You can ask just about any cast member anything about the history of the ride. A lot of them have really cool stories! If you're good at Disney trivia, you could maybe quiz each other (if they're not too busy) So be sure to talk to a cast member on your next trip, you'll learn a lot! Submitted by Eileen

  • Feed the ducks at the Disney Institute. The wildlife there is very tame and very friendly. Take some crackers (we had CheezeIts and they loved them) and soon you'll find yourself literally surrounding by quacking ducks. They will even eat out of your hand if you want them to (and if you don't look out, even if you don't want them to!). The Institute grounds also has a ton of bunny rabbits out and about. This is just such a nice, peaceful place that it's well worth a side trip to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. The grounds are big and have enough space for kids to run around. The lake in the middle has a nice path around it for walking. Submitted by Sheri Niklewski

  • If your planning on dining in the castle of MK, Cinderella's Golden Banquet, try and make your reservation for 30 minutes before the fireworks. That way you can watch Fantasy in the Sky threw the stained glass windows of the castle. Submitted by TheWaltDisneyNut@aol.com

  • I feel the Electrical Water Pageant DEFINATLY falls under this category. For those guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel that overlooks Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon, or for those that want to have a little fun to end your day, this show is a MUST SEE. It starts around 9:00 at the Polynesian and winds it's way down the lagoon finishing at the Contemporary around 10:20. The show currently is playing a soundtrack of synthesized music of songs from "The Little Mermaid" The show DOES NOT play on nights when it rains or there is a high wind Submitted by: Danny Eyheralde
