Well as we all know kids don't like lines. You want to get on the ride as quick as possible. For quick way on... it's like have you noticed that spinning teacups are not popular during or shortly after the lunch rush.Go for for lines that are not always appetizing for the time.

We bring a half gallon picnic jug to hang on the stroller. we fill it up each morning with ice water and have enough to drink all day without paying disney prices for drinks! We also pack disposable bibs for the little ones and bring fruit bars and crackers to munch on . Each child has their own waist bag with snacks. Submitted by Kelly
We spent 5 days at WDW; and still didnt do everything. But the one thing
we did that was worth it was, spend almost an entire day at one of the water
parks(Typhoon Lagoon). We got there right after they opened that morning and
left well after lunch. The kids were worn out enough that we got back to our
resort, bathed, ordered dinner in the room(pizza) and just relaxed. It was a
nice change from the runnin around we had been doin. Since it was our first
trip to WDW my husband and I needed that little rest! Take time for your self
parents...even if its just a couple hours! Submitted by Laura Hughes
If you have teenagers and are wondering if they would have any fun at WDW the answer is yes. I went to Disney World all through my teenage years and now that I am in college I really want to go back.
Some tips would include going to dinner later at night so when you are the parks are officially closed and no one is around. It is a truly magical part of the night.
A good place to go to eat is the restauraunt in Epcot that cooks the food right in front of you. If you know the name feel free to add on to my tip :)
And another big thing is not to worry about your teens when they are off on their own. If you are staying in the parks older teenagers will have no problem traveling on their own.
By letting your kids have their own day and then planning fun dinners at night. Your kids will have a great time.
Swimming in the pool late at night, visiting downtown disney in the early hours of the morning and smiling and laughing will make this the best vacation they have been on. Submitted by Angela
I am 12 years old, and I have gone to Disney twice every years since I have been born! As Devon Cheek said "The best thing to do around 3:00; catch the parade. Afterwards, head back to your hotel. Catch a nap, go swimming, or do this around noon, and enjoy a lunch in the privacy of your hotel room. Of course this only applies to those who stay with Disney" Here is even a better way! All you have to do is go to the park really early. If you split up and don't like the parade, that is the best time to go on rides! Meet up at the entrance right after and go to your condo/hotel/house. Swim until dinner time... after dinner go back to the park(this is because it will be less crowded
and much cooler! I would recommend going to Animal Kingdom at 8-9 AM. They say the animals go in when it gets to hot and plus it gets crowded QUICK! Go to Epcot of Magic Kingdom until 3:30 or 4:00. After dinner go to MGM and see "Fantasmic"! This can be substituted for Epcot which has THE BEST parade in the country at 4:00 and 9:00 AM! If you have kids, listen to AM 990, Radio Disney. This has all music kids listen to except rap and swearing music! It teaches lessons like responsibility, using cross walks and More... by the way... they disguise it! You will see improvements in just days! Submitted by Kevin
If you have small children but you both love to ride the thrill rides no need to worry. Walt Disney World will allow you to take turns riding the attraction they call it parent swapping. Submitted by James and Marybeth
Although our kids have grown, and we're down to only two left at home, here's what worked for us when we would travel to WDW w/all 5:
First, we would dress them all in the same color t-shirts, a different color each day to keep them happy, while making it much easier to keep track of them, especially on crowded days. Then we equipped each kid with a fanny pack containing a small(but here's the key:refillable but not too heavy)water bottle and several packages of snacks like crackers, pretzels, etc.and their sunglasses. It saved us a ton of money to not have to purchase snacks and drinks at the parks, other than a daily treat. Submitted by Sharie
When going to WDW with young children - always go to the Dumbo ride first! Make sure you are there when the park opens. Otherwise the line to way tolong for the kids to wait in during the rest of the day. Submitted by Tracey
I am a teenager and I have been going to WDW for years. Now that I am older my favorite thing is to bring a friend and my mom lets us go off alone in the park that we are at for a while. That time lets me act like a teenager but then it really makes me love going out to diner with the whole family. I have so many great memories of Disney World. SO just because your kids are getting older does not mean that they do not want to go to Disney. Submitted by Angela
