  • If your family drinks all the same kind of beverage, it saves money to buy a large beverage no ice and get small cups of ice! You save lots of money and get triple the amount of drinks! Submitted by Kelly

  • As a former Cast member that went many times to the parks, I found that splitting a meal between two people was the best way to go. The portion sizes are huge and filling, and since there is so much good food, you will have room left to sample all the other wonderful snacks. Also you are not so full on a hot day. Submitted by Sara

  • I went to Disney in January of 2003. This is one of the best times to go to Disney. No waiting in long lines, etc. I stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and was thrilled with the buffet restaurant in the hotel called Boma. The food has an african flair and is very tasty. I intend to eat there again when I return this July. Submitted by Jennifer A. Blumenthal

  • If you happen to be in Animal Kingdom in the morning, head over to Dinoland, U.S.A., to Donald's Breakfast-O-Saurus. It is a great character breakfast / buffet, and if you're not careful, you may get a little sprinkling from one of the chefs behind the food line. Submitted by Mike Tartaglia

  • A few months before you leave home for your WDW trip, make sure you call & make reservations for EACH evening meal, at the park you are visiting that day, at one of their great restaurants. It's a good time to reflect on your day & re-think your plans for the remainder of it. Submitted by Dolores

  • During my most recent trip to Disney, I decided to try a new restaurant that I had never been to before. I had always wanted to eat at the Polynesian and so I made reservations at O'Hanas. OH my goodness - I will go back there every single time I go to Disney now. A huge feast for the whole family with more food than you can eat and a great price. Five different kinds of meat and all sorts of vegetables. Take an evening and enjoy the sunset over the Seven Seas Lagoon while eating a scruptious Hawaiian feast at O'Hanas!!!!! I suggest not eating very much the rest of the day prior to your dinner! Submitted by Shilah

  • If you plan to dine at Disney/MGM studios and you also want to take in "Fantasmic" (A Disney must-see) the Brown Derby restaurant is one of the places to eat. Not only will you have the convenience of being close to the action, the Brown Derby also offers tickets to a special reserved section for the show. Instead of lining up 60-90 minutes prior to the show, you can dine at you leisure and being lining up only 30 minutes prior and have unbelievable seats. Submitted by Joel Shimoji

  • Here is a tip to save you some time. First you should plan most of your meals before you go, this will save you time. Next, if you have kids you don't have to sacrifice good food for fun. You should make reservations at offer both fun and good food. Places like Liberty Tree Tavern, Tony's Town Square, Garden Grill, Mamma Melrose & 50's Prime Time Cafe are just some of the places that offer excellent food for the adults but are loads of fun for the kids (Some of these have characters). One last tip one of the best night time shows in WDW is Fantasmic, if you make dining reservations the day you are in Disney MGM studios at Mamma Melrose or The Brown Derby you can do a dinner and show package. This will save you time you will have reserved seating for dinner and also for Fantasmic. I hope this little bit of info helps you on you magical trip to Walt Disney World.Submitted by James and Marybeth

  • Character Breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table: definitely a must see! The restaurant itself is near the top of the castle. It overlooks Fantasyland. It's an all-you-can-eat sit down breakfast for around $15. The most exciting part: they treat you like royalty! LITERALLY! We were called m' lord, m' lady, the Royal Murray Family, your heiness, and your majesty! We were even bowed and curtsied to. The food is spectacular. And the most fun: you get to visit with the princesses while you dine. You can take pictures, get autographs, and talk with princesses. Our characters that day were Snow White, Cinderella, Cindereela's Fairy Godmother, Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Belle, and Peter Pan (not exactly a princess, but hey). It was a wonderful start to our day. A "must see" with children. But equally as good without. Submitted by Delight Murray

  • Make your "big meal" reservations for 2PM. You pay lunch prices and avoid the crowds. Ask for the porch at Tony's luncheonette in Magic Kingdom and you get to see the parade over dessert! Submitted by Cindy Scharnagl

  • The best and most affordable in all of Disney is the family buffet at the Grand Floridian Submitted by Moira Mcdonald

  • Okay, you're in a romantic mood or want to get away from the kids for a while. A great way to touch base is over dinner at probably the most breathtaking restaurant in WDW. The California Grill in the Contemporary Resort has some really creative dishes, fine wines, a view of Bay Lake that is guaranteed to impress your significant other. Make sure to book your priority seating well in advance and to request a table by the window. Confirm that you want a table by the window when you 1st arrive at WDW just to be safe. Although they can't promise anything, they usually try to accommodate. The best time of the night to book your reservation is a little before 9:00. WDW has a lighted water parade (think Main Street Electrical Parade on water)that passes by the Contemporary around 9:00. Before you get seated grab a glass of wine and go outside to the top of the Contemporary and look down at the Magic Kingdom aglow with lights and excitement. You'll be in a great mood for some fine dining and romantic conversation! Have fun. Submitted by Christopher Holland

  • We have three kids under that of 7. One of the best places to eat (except with the characters) Is the Rain Forest Cafe in Disney Marketplace.. The animation within the restaurant is really great and keep the youngsters entertained while you wait for your dinner. The sites and sounds in there are really incredible..If you're lucky you get to sit through a tropical storm!! The boardwalk there has so much to do and see (check out the big lego store) For all the shopaholics (like myself) the biggest Disney store is up there as well. Submitted by Dineen

  • When in Epcot... try having lunch in Morocco's restaurant (Rest. Marakesh)... We went there three years ago for my father's birthday lunch and the belly dancer and band came over and danced with him! It was great... not to mention the food is delicious!!! Also... try to be on the Mexico side of the World Showcase about an hour before Illuminations and walk over to Norway. Get one of their "Vaffles". It is two yummy fresh made waffles with strawberry jam in the middle! It is the best desert there! (in my opinion)... then when you are finished you can simply walk to the shoreline of the showcase and watch illuminations! Submitted by Kim

  • Having trouble with long breakfast lines outside the parks, or at your resort? Try getting a quick breakfast in one of the parks pastry shops with not usually more than a 4 or 5 minute wait, there are always tables available. And when you finished, your already in the park. In Magic Kingdom try...The Main Street Bake Shop. and in EPCOT try the Fountain View Espresso and Bakery. Submitted by The Walt Disney nut.Com

  • Before leaving home call for reservations at the HoopDeeDoo revue. this is one of the best things Disney has to offer. The early show has a lot of children, the 7pm show tends to be the most crowdwd, so we opt for the late show. GREAT food, and a rip roaring show with a very talented cast. You may even wind up being the star of the show. go and ENJOY> we wouldn't miss it. We go there every trip, and that's 3 times a year. Submitted by Nancy

  • As a visitor during the holiday season, here is my very favorite tip. MGM usually closes around 8pm, so I make dinner reservations at the Sci-Fi Restaurant for about 7:30. By the time you are done with dinner the park is closed, most of the people have already scampered out to wait for a bus and the park is nearly deserted. The bonus?? The Christmas lights remain on, and the Christmas music is playing...What a wonderful way to slowly stroll out of the park. You can get a few photos (of the Chinese Theatre or the shops on the streets) w/o strangers in them and by the time you get to the transportation place - most of the lines have dwindled. It is a very relaxing way to end a day. Full of food (which isn't too expensive) and well rested from the days adventures Submitted by: Tammi
